Research Analyst
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct background investigations on companies, individuals, industries, and markets
- Search for and cross-verify publicly available information
- Perform commercial due diligence, background checks, policy and market research
- Organize information and produce structured investigation reports
Requirements
- Strong information retrieval, analysis, and writing skills
- Familiar with OSINT, open-source investigation, corporate intelligence, or business research
- Able to independently complete research or investigation reports
- Experience in consulting, research, due diligence, risk control, or compliance is a plus
- Research public policy, government governance, and the regulatory environment
- Analyze government agency functions, policy systems, and decision-making processes
- Provide policy-environment and public-affairs research support for cross-border projects
- Participate in consulting projects on government affairs, policy research, and international relations
Requirements
- Experience in one or more of: government agencies, diplomatic service, regulators, judiciary/public security, state-owned enterprises, think tanks/policy research institutes, international organizations, government/public affairs
- Familiarity with relevant policy domains or public institution operations is a plus
- Conduct research on news, public opinion, and publicly available information
- Perform source research and fact-checking on individuals, companies, policies, and major events
- Participate in interviews, information verification, and feature research
- Provide media and source support for investigation and research projects
- Produce feature reports or journalism research outputs
Requirements
- Professional experience in one or more of: journalist, editor, editor-in-chief, correspondent, news researcher, producer, investigative reporter, financial/international journalist, independent media
- Experience in interviewing, fact-checking, investigative reporting, or in-depth reporting is a plus
